Harvard Lampoon Honorary Member
In March 2022 The Irish Comedy Tour visited the Lampoon to be inducted into the Harvard Lampoon as honorary members.
Following a performance at The Wilbur, members visited the Harvard Lampoon, a Harvard College student organization and the world’s oldest humor magazine, founded in 1876.
Meeting at their castle inductees were sworn to secrecy. Only members are allowed inside the inner portion of the castle. Even 60 minutes when doing a special on the Lampoon was denied access to the interior. Inside is akin to something out of Hogwart’s Castle, complete with strange rituals, lots of celebrity memorabilia, and plenty of surprises.
After a four hour initiation test, Derek Richards, Derrick Keane, Mike Malone and Damon Leibert all became honorary members, joining the ranks of other celebrities such as: Aerosmith, Winston Churchill, John Cleese, Bill Cosby, Billy Crystal, Tony Hawk, Hugh Hefner, Kesha, Jay Leno, Elon Musk, Ezra Pound, Adam Sandler, Sarah Silverman, Tracey Ullman, Kurt Vonnegut, John Wayne and Robin Williams.
